I only found out about this short film from the "Globglogabgalab" meme, so I didn't even know this existed until then. But, after checking it out out of morbid curiosity, it was almost as bad as I thought it would be.
The bad animation, weird voice cast, story that stretches thin, and overall unoriginality makes this a far cry compared to other animated films out there. I understand that whoever made this said it was a passion project, which is great, but I can't help but be completely distracted by the overall lack of polish, as well as the animation that's not only stiff and doesn't lipsync well with the characters, but also sometimes ugly.
While it sounds like I've been doing nothing but bashing it, this isn't the worst animated film I've seen, because, despite the bad animation, the characters were charming and had potential to carry the film forward. The premise and idea are cute, which both would work splendly in movie with a good story and good animation, which, this, unfortunately, has neither.
I don't really know who to recommend this to, because the bad animation may unexcite children and the predictable story may bore adults. So, in other words, just don't bother.
I do applaud the creator for being passionate about this, but I feel like if they spent more time on it, it could've been popular, even without the meme attached to it. Overall, this is ambitious, but just not worth anyone's time. Hopefully the creator makes something great in the future, because I do see a few glimmers of hope here.
Just no where near enough, unfortunately. Olicosmic Dec 18, Details Edit. Release date December 4, United Kingdom. United Kingdom. It just shows what can be achieved with vision and hard work. The duration of the movie was perfect for short attention spans! Barbara Bradley. You should definitely pursue this avenue as you obviously have a considerable passion for it. The animal characters are adorable and I like the way you have tried to keep authenticity in their movements for example with the rabbit hopping along.
The story hangs together quite well and there is enough to keep an young mind engaged for the whole 30 minutes. Malcolm Down, Authentic Media. I finally had a chance to watch your dvd this morning on my computer! I can definitely see all of the hard work that went into it, especially through some of the details like all of the morphs of the blob character. I think you did a really good job creating the atmosphere of the video, including the outdoor areas and the library.
I especially liked the lighting inside the library. I think the message was very accurately and very clearly conveyed. Thank you again for sending me a copy of the DVD!
